About Us
Land Acknowledgment
We gratefully acknowledge that we are located on the unceded Indigenous lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is historically known as a gathering place for many First Nations. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within and around the Montréal community.
Our Mission
Gentle Revolution Doula Care is committed to providing compassionate, inclusive, and personalized postpartum support that addresses the unique needs of every family. The goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and affirming space where every parent feels heard, supported, and empowered during the transformative postpartum, or “4th Trimester”, period.
We proudly serve all families, with a particular commitment to those who have been historically marginalized or excluded from traditional postpartum care, such as:
Black, Indigenous, & People of Color (BIPOC) families seeking culturally responsive postpartum care.
LGBTQ2AI+ families, who deserve affirming and knowledgeable support.
Single parents and other non-traditional family structures, including polyamorous families and blended families.
Newcomers to Canada, navigating cultural, language, or systemic barriers to postpartum care.
While not a social services agency, we are deeply committed to social justice, equity, and advocacy, and recognize the systemic barriers many families face. As such, we strive to provide care that is holistic, decolonized, and culturally sensitive.
We aim to disrupt inequities in traditional postpartum care while celebrating the strength, resilience, and diversity of all families. We believe that postpartum support should be a right, not a privilege, and are here to uplift and empower your family.

Committed to Inclusive and Compassionate Care
Hi, I’m Rehana!
I bring a unique blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and passion to my role as a postpartum doula. A proud parent and member of the Global Majority, I am deeply committed to creating inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive care that honors the diversity of all families. As a parent, I understand both the joys and challenges of the postpartum journey. My doula practice is rooted in social justice, decolonization, and the celebration of diverse family structures and gender identities.
With an educational and professional background in community and social services, and Policy, Administration, and Law, values such as equity, advocacy, and inclusion are at the heart of my practice. Through MotherWit Doula Training, I deepened my education in holistic and evidence-based postpartum support. As a former La Leche League counselor in Canada and France, I have supported many families in their diverse infant feeding journeys.
Professionally, I have worked extensively in social advocacy and community work, supporting street-involved youth, newcomers to Canada, people with disabilities, the elderly, and other marginalized communities. This diverse experience informs a compassionate, inclusive, and knowledge-driven approach to family support, shaping my worldview, and enriching my approach to postpartum care.
I find inspiration in activism for many diverse equity and social justice causes. When I’m not working, I am spending quality time with my little family and beloved pup; reading; planting things; cooking; volunteering; attending live music events; or meeting with friends.
I am dedicated to providing compassionate, affirming, and empowering postpartum care. By blending professional expertise with my deep commitment to social justice, I want to create a safe and nurturing space where every family feels supported and valued.
